Looking back on two decades of starting, growing, and selling businesses, I wish someone had helped me to pause, shown me how to take an in-depth look at my overall strategy, my working practices and guided me to do that with confidence.

I started my first business at age 25. I loved what I was good at, graphic design. But as the company grew I employed others to do what I loved and I moved into other areas; business management, client development, finances and HR. Back then, I had no idea what I was doing. I knew everything about design, but very little about running a business.
Yes, my business was successful, but I was exhausted. I felt stretched, bone dry creatively and I ceased to have any spark. I was on a treadmill and couldn’t figure out where the off button was. It wasn’t that I wasn’t interested – I loved design – but I constantly felt overwhelmed and out of control.
Helen Ebdon ran two successful Graphic Design and Marketing agencies for over 17 years while developing techniques and tools for business owners along the way. Ten years ago she acquired her coaching credentials, and launched a consultancy business supporting high-achieving business owners and senior executives to help them move through challenging, overwhelming times and redefine what success means to them.
